The Living World

Talk to the animals…

Children have a natural affinity to the living world and here at Playgarden we are keen to harness this natural curiosity within the play spaces we develop for school and nursery settings.

Close, personal, real and direct experience with animals is important for children and they need very little encouragement to explore and engage with animals in their natural habitat. Play resources such as bird boxes, insect towers and wormeries channel this desire to observe living things whilst the creation of wild spaces utilises the outdoor environment to maximise the opportunity to ‘discover’ small animals in a natural habitat.
